fun

Last week we took kids to fly their new kite at the park. Ethan LOVED it (so did Daddy!), but Gavin didn't really care too much. We took Desi to the park, too. It was a fun day.
Friday night Perry's mom took the kids over night. I got a bunch of scrapbooking done. I will hopefully get to post some more layouts this week!
On Saturday, we all went to stay the night my parents. We took the kids to the park for a while, then went back to my parent's house for pizza. Ethan seemed to be getting allergies when we got into Sarnia, so Perry and I went and got him some Claritan. He had trouble falling asleep and it wa probably 9pm before he actually did. Gavin went to bed around 7:30 (I think). So they both had a couple busy days and went to bed late. They were both up at 5:30! The funny thing is my mom heard ethan get up and thought she would let me sleep in. Well, Gavin stayed in the same room as Perry and I. I thought I'd try to get him back to sleep so he wouldn't wake up my mom! So for an hour we thought we were letting the other one sleep! lol
We watched some videos from the last time that we went to the cottage. We are going back in 3 weeks (yay!). My brother was sooo small! He was only 10, now he's 15. So funny to see!
After we had something to eat, we went to the 'Animal Farm'. It's basically a petting zoo, but they are all farm animals. They kids really enjoyed it. After that we went for a nature walk. We took a lot of good pictures. I wish we had somewhere like that a little bit closer to us. We don't have too much to do in the city we live in. All summer we take different trips to cities and towns around us because there's not a whole to do here.
So, we had a really good weekend. Lots of fun!
Oh and I thought the kids would sleep in today after all the excitement and lack of sleep the night before. No. Ethan was still up at 5:30. :(

more pages, finally

It seems like I haven't been able to scrap for weeks! Yesterday, Perry's mom took the kids for the evening and ended up keeping them over night, so I got a bit done last night. And I've even got a few hours this morning! So, I will post some layouts from last night and then I'm off to scrap! :)

rituals

This is what my counter looks like for a while every morning. Ethan wants a peanut butter and jam (or sometimes just jam) sandwich every morning as soon as he wakes up- oh and don't forget to take off the crust. :)

25

My 25th birthday (or bow-tay in Gavin-speak) was on Saturday. Perry already gave me my present, the best present ever, a new doggie! Perry's mom took the kids Friday night, so I got to sleep in (a bit) and have the whole day with my awesome husband! We went shopping in the States for the afternoon. It was a nice day.
Anyone who has a dog- have you heard of the Furminator deshedding comb? They are about $50, but we got something very similiar called D-Shed at Big Lots for $3. It is amazing. It prevents shedding up to 80-90% because it gets the under coat. AMAZING. If you have a dog and live near a Big Lots, check it out.

the first four days

have been really good! We had one little incident where we realised that Desi is a little possessive of her bone, but it was only her 2nd day here and she hadn't been eating. Other than that everything's been great. We took her to the beach on Wednesday. She likes the water. I took the kids and her for a walk this morning at 7:45! You know your kids are up early when you can shower and have everyone dressed and out the door at that time! The kids just love Desi, we are really happy with her!
Oh something funny that I wanted to mention that happened last week when we took the kids over to the park. Ethan was playing with a little girl the whole time that was about a year older than him. Well, her mom gave the boys some drink boxes and in the middle of drinking them Ethan walks over and says, "What's my phone number?" ?!?! Is this normal? I don't know but I thought he'd be older than 3 before girls started asking for his number!
